Pressure Cell

Pressure cells are used to measure pressure, determine pressure distribution and direction in various applications.

Readings can be made digitally via analog or VW (vibrating wire) sensors and transferred to data acquisition systems.

Main Types of Piezometers Offered by Artı Geo

NATM Pressure Cell

NATM load cells are used to measure the radial and superficial pressures on shotcrete in tunnels and other underground excavations constructed with the NATM method (New Austrian Tunnel Method).

Data is read digitally via VW type sensors. It has high durability and precise reading capacity.

Total Pressure Cell

Total pressure meters are used to measure total earth pressure (effective stress and pore water pressure) in embankments, tunnels, excavation walls and structure interfaces.

Data is read digitally via VW or strain gauge type sensors. It has a long life and is suitable for remote reading.

Push-in Pressure Cell

Push-in or Spade Type pressure cells are driven horizontally and vertically into the ground, allowing horizontal and vertical pressure measurements to be performed.

These pressure cells are used in studies to determine the changes in lateral pressures acting on the retaining structures and to monitor the pressure changes that may be caused by different geotechnical applications.
